To Add Device
Method 1: Bluetooth
- Ensure that your device is in pairing mode.
For smart lights, turn on and off the wall switch 4 times. The light will start blinking rapidly as shown on the bulb on the left in the illustration below. - Tap the ‘+’ icon at the top-right hand corner of the screen. Ensure that your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and the Bluetooth is switched on.
- The devices that are in pairing mode will appear in a prompt. Tap on ‘Go to Add’ and the ‘+’ icon on the top right-hand corner of the following screen to proceed with pairing.
- Input the Wi-Fi SSID and password. This process will only need to be done for the first time your phone is pairing the VIO devices on. Note that if you attempt to pair your VIO devices to a 5Ghz, a reminder prompt to connect to a 2.4GHz will appear.
- The pairing process will commence. A notification will follow to indicate if the pairing has been successful.
Method 2: Wi-Fi
- Ensure that the devices you are trying to pair are in ‘pairing mode’ by repeatedly switch them on and off for 4 times. Pairing mode is indicated by the lights flashing rapidly.
- Tap the ‘+’ icon at the top-right hand corner of the screen. Ensure that your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network and the Bluetooth is switched on.
- The devices that are in pairing mode will appear in a prompt. Tap on ‘Do Not Add’ and ‘Light Source (BLE + Wi-Fi) icon on of the next screen to proceed with pairing. Check the radio button that confirms the light is blinking rapidly and tap on ‘Next’.
- Input the Wi-Fi SSID and password. This process will only need to be done for the first time your phone is pairing the VIO devices on. Note that if you attempt to pair your VIO devices to a 5Ghz, a reminder prompt to connect to a 2.4GHz will appear.
- The pairing process will commence. A notification will follow to indicate if the pairing has been successful.
To Remove Device
- Long-press on the device you wish to remove.
- A list of devices added to your home will be shown. Check the devices that you wish to remove. Tap on 'Remove Device'.
- A prompt will show for you to confirm that you wish to remove the device. Tap on 'Confirm' if you are sure.
- Your device is now removed from the VIO mobile app.
