You can switch on and off your light with the physical light switch without pairing your VIO lights to your home network. However you may not perform additional functions such as dimming, tuning and automation.
After you have paired your VIO light with your home network, you can operate your lights with the VIO mobile app. The app allows you to adjust the brightness of your lights, create custom light scenes and more.
Switching on and off your lights
You can switch on and off your light by tapping on the power button as shown below. Note that your light must not be switched off by the physical light switch and that it must be connected to your home network or it will be viewed as 'offline'.
Dimming and tuning your light
On the device dashboard, you can tune the light by adjusting the white colour temperature palette and dim the device by adjusting the brightness bar. You can also save the brightness and white colour temperature setting by tapping on the ‘+’ icon above the white colour temperature palette.
Setting the colour of your light (for COLOURPLAY series only)
If your light is part of the COLOURPLAY series, you can adjust the colour of your light by tapping on the ‘Color’ option below the switch.
Automation and Tap-to-Run
You can set some automations for your lights such that it turns on at a scheduled time or when the weather changes. You may also set a 'Tap-to-Run', which is a feature where you can perform a series of commands by a tap of a button.
